Community Service Program

The Community Service Program at Cardinal Hayes offers students well over 30 opportunities to complete community service hours, some of which can lead to paid work, during the school year or summer.  Each April, coinciding with The National Volunteer Week, Cardinal Hayes students are honored with a special pin for completing at least 20 hours of community service.  Locations are around the Bronx and Manhattan.  Students have participated yearly, in the 92nd St. Y. Teens giving Day, which involves a day of community service usually in November.  The GLU Program, sponsored by the Centro Altagracia de Fe y Justicia, offers a full week of community service during the winter and Easter breaks.
